Couples Bowling Night

Last Saturday, Nik was home for the holiday so we decided to invite a bunch of people out for bowling!

Thankfully, there were only 6 of us because I had a coupon that covered our whole evening for $12 a person (includes bowling, shoe rental, pizza, and bread sticks) 

Nik and I got there a bit early, so we played games in the arcade until everyone arrived. 

And then the shenanigans began. Thank you Zach for photo bombing with your hand

The group of older bowlers in the lane next to us were so extremely rude! A 50+ woman would practically drape herself across the floor as she flung her ball toward the pins. She then had the audacity to walk over to our current bowler, Zach and tell him to follow "bowling etiquette". And why did she say such a thing? Because they both bowled at the same time. None of her other teammates followed her ridiculous rule, but we laughed it up for the remainder of the evening. 

Just as our time was nearing it's end it became cosmic bowling time! It was kind of cool because they had a fog machine to reflect the red laser lights more. 

Afterwards, Zach and Sami had to leave (it was around 9:30 by that time) so Abi, Eric, Nik, and I went back to the arcade area to finish off our game cards and buy candy as our prizes. 

All in all it was a great time and it was very nice to spend time with friends. Hopefully we can do it again sometime!

Twins Game

Almost two weeks ago, Nik was given free tickets from his boss to the Twins vs Red Sox game!

They were dugout seats so they were really good seats (pretty expensive too, we noticed)

We decided to take the train down like many others did.

I would hate to be in those super high seats! 

I mean those are REALLY HIGH UP. 

We got a pretzel and soda in the special dugout lounge. I felt like such a VIP..

It definitely wasn't an Auntie Anne's (my weakness at malls) but it was okay~

I wish they actually had stools or something..

The vendor in yellow was so hilarious. He would scream out that it was his last bag of peanuts and then try auctioning it off, after selling it for more than it was originally he'd pull out another and start yelling at other people. It was so funny! 

It was another late night but that was alright it was fun ~ 

Day at the Zoo (Conservatory)

Last week Abi, Nik, Nik's family, and I went to the Como Zoo Conservatory to take pictures despite the fact that it was late January XD

 Abi poking koi fish in the pond. They weren't skittish at all which was really surprising. The fish let you poke them in the head and they didn't react at all! The sign next to the pond only said don't pick leaves and feed them to the fish, nothing against poking and touching them though. It was just so interesting!

We went to a small restaurant that was sort of expensive, but it was good nonetheless and I ended up not taking any pictures there ^-^'''

New Pet!

Well, Frederick, my beloved fish must [swim?] aside. 

A few weeks ago, my father and his girlfriend Megan were out and about and went to go pet animals at the Humane Society. While looking at the dogs, he immediately saw one named Midge (or Midget, no one could really figure it out) who looked exactly like the miniature version of our old dog, Roxy, who had passed over a year ago. One of the few times in his life, he spontaneously got this dog and we picked her up the day after next and re-named her Shadow. (Which she has very much so lived up to that name, she follows everyone all the time. If she could go in two different directions to follow people, she definitely would.) 

 She's super shy but energetic when she wants to be

She's half black lab and half Australian cattle dog

Although she's about 40lbs, she has an addiction to climbing on people.

She's very loving and will roll over at the sight of ANYONE! So submissive it's insane!

The other day, Nik, Abi, Brody and I went to Northtown Mall

 Go to Broadway Pizza of course! Mind you it was 9:30 in the evening..

 We went to roam Walmart! Until around 11:30 ~ then Nik dropped us off and Abi and I passed out in my living room XD
